OPITO announces price adjustment

Today OPITO has announced a price adjustment for all fees, effective from 1 September 2024.

After maintaining fees including registration costs, associated course approval costs and day rates for over 12 years, it is now necessary for OPITO to introduce a 10% price increase.

As the global, not-for-profit safety and skills body for the energy industry, the decision to introduce a price adjustment is essential, enabling OPITO to continue delivering our services to the highest standard.

In summary, the reasons for the adjustment include:

Inflation mitigation: Over the past ten years inflation has significantly impacted the costs of providing our services. This adjustment will help offset the inevitable rising operational expenses and costs that businesses globally are facing.
Continuous improvement: Provision of and investment in fit-for-purpose business and certification systems.
Development and advancement: As OPITO adapts and progresses both geographically and technically, this adjustment will help us identify and accommodate demands in new countries and markets, expanding our product offering for approved training centres.

Please note that training centres, and companies that are approved by OPITO, are fully independent and OPITO has no control of their commercial models or pricing structure for training courses.

The cost adjustment should have a minimal impact, while enabling OPITO to support a safe, skilled and competent energy workforce.
