My Energy Future, powered by OPITO, is proud to introduce the inaugural global cohort of My Energy Future Champions – a diverse group of emerging young talent representing the future of the energy workforce across multiple regions, backgrounds and career paths.
Spanning Asia‑Pacific, the Middle East & Africa, North America, and the UK & Europe, the Champions reflect the global nature of today’s energy industry and the wide range of skills needed to support a safe, skilled and sustainable energy future. Throughout the programme, they will share their unique experiences and career journeys, helping to highlight the breadth of opportunities available across the evolving energy mix.
Championing Real People, Real Pathways, Real Impact
The My Energy Future Champions programme was created to challenge misconceptions about the energy sector by showcasing career pathways in a relatable, authentic and accessible way. By amplifying real stories from people studying, working and building careers across oil and gas, renewables, hydrogen, digital innovation, workforce development and more, the programme aims to make the energy industry feel more visible and approachable for young people everywhere.
Throughout 2026, our Champions will share their experiences through digital content, events and engagement activity. Their insight will help young people understand the many routes into meaningful careers in a rapidly evolving sector.
The inaugural cohort includes students, apprentices, early‑career professionals and researchers working across engineering, operations, project management, training, academia and workforce development. They represent countries including Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Nigeria, Germany and the United Kingdom, each offering perspectives shaped by local energy realities and community‑level impact.
