OPITO Global 1 Renewable Energy Training Certificate: Basic Operations and Maintenance Solar Photovoltaic Energy

This training certificate is aimed at learners with very little prior experience of an operations or engineering environment specifically within the renewables sector.

This training certificate consists of the eleven mandatory units below, which must be successfully completed.

•RETS-C01: Health and Safety in Renewable Energy Operations and Maintenance

•RETS-C02: Introduction to Physical Science and Basic Properties of Materials

•RETS-C03: Introduction to Electrical and Electronic Principles

•RETS-C04: Basic Maintenance Techniques and Hand Tools Practices

•RETS-C05: Basic Operation and Maintenance of Electrical Distribution Systems

•RETS-C06: Basic Operation and Maintenance of Electrical Protection Methods

•RETS-C07: Basic Operation and Maintenance of Measurement Systems and Equipment

•RETS-C08: Basic Operation and Maintenance of Control Systems and Equipment

•RETS-S01: Introduction to Solar Photovoltaic Energy Theory and Production Processes

•RETS-S02: Basic Solar Photovoltaic Electrical Systems

•RETS-S03: Basic Solar Photovoltaic Mechanical Systems

There are no specific entry requirements, however, it is recommended that learners complete the OPITO Renewable Energy Foundation Certificate or equivalent training before undertaking this training certificate

In addition to completing the eight mandatory OPITO Global training units at Renewable Energy 1 and achieving the OPITO Global 1 Renewable Energy Training Certificate: Basic Operations and Maintenance, three further mandatory units, all of these must be completed to achieve the OPITO Global 1 Renewable Energy Training Certificate: Basic Operations and Maintenance Solar Photovoltaic Energy.
