Who is this Product for?
This product is for individuals who currently work within a process engineering environment at technical level and/or for individuals who are participating in a development programme which would lead to the individual becoming an mechanical maintenance technician.
What does this Product cover?
This vocational qualification consists of the nine units below, two of which which must be successfully completed from Group 1 and a further three from Group 2:
Group 1
- OGOS – M25: Diagnose Maintenance Requirements of Mechanical Oil & Gas Plant & Equipment (Distribution Systems )
- OGOS – M26: Diagnose Maintenance Requirements of Mechanical Oil & Gas Plant & Equipment (Prime Movers)
- OGOS – M27: Diagnose Maintenance Requirements of Mechanical Oil & Gas Plant & Equipment (Transmission Systems & Components)
Group 2
- OGOS – M19: Adjust and Optimise the Performance & Condition of Mechanical Oil & Gas Plant & Equipment (Distribution Systems)
- OGOS – M20: Adjust and Optimise the Performance/Condition of Mechanical Oil & Gas Plant & Equipment (Prime Movers)
- OGOS – M21: Adjust and Optimise the Performance/Condition of Mechanical Oil & Gas Plant & Equipment (Transmission Systems & Components)
- OGOS – M22: Carry out Maintenance on Components of Mechanical Oil & Gas Plant & Equipment (Distribution Systems)
- OGOS – M23: Carry out Maintenance on Components of Mechanical Oil & Gas Plant & Equipment (Prime Movers)
- OGOS – M24: Carry out Maintenance on Components of Mechanical Oil & Gas Plant & Equipment (Transmission Systems & Components)
Entry Requirements
Entry is at the discretion of the OPITO
Learners should be in a job or placement where they are carrying out relevant tasks and responsibilities which allow then to gather the required evidence.
It is recommended that learners complete the OPITO Vocational Qualification 2: Oil and Gas Engineering Maintenance (Mechanical)
or equivalent before undertaking this Vocational Qualification.
Product Achievement Requirements
To achieve the OPITO Vocational Qualification 3: Oil and Gas Engineering Maintenance (Mechanical) the learner needs to complete two units from Mandatory Group 1 and three units from Mandatory Group 2.
