This training certificate is aimed at learners with either very little or no prior experience of an engineering environment.

This training certificate consists of the nine mandatory units below, which must be successfully completed.

• RETS-F10: Basic Health and Safety in Renewable Energy Operations & Maintenance
• RETS-F11:Basic Numeracy Skills
• RETS-F12: Basic Electrical Principles
• RETS-F13: Basic Practice with Hand Tools, Power Tools and Pneumatic Tools
• RETS-F14: Basic Mechanical and Electrical Measuring Instruments
• RETS-F15: Basic Communications in a Maintenance and Operations Context
• RETS-F16: Introduction to Renewable Energy and Renewable Energy Sources
• RETS-F17: Introduction to Drawings used in Renewable Energy Operations and Maintenance
• RETS-F18: Introduction to Equipment used in Renewable Energy Production

There are no specific entry requirements – the training programme will include an introduction to the required numeracy skills.
