OPITO Global 2 Training Certificate: Maintenance Practice (Instrument and Control)

This training certificate is aimed at learners who are already familiar with the basics of an engineering workshop environment.

The training certificate consists of the two mandatory units below, which must be successfully completed:

•OGTS– M23: Health and Safety in Oil and Gas Maintenance Workshops

•OGTS –M24: Maintenance Working Practices

In addition, a minimum of 3 equipment groups from the below must be successfully completed:

•OGTS – M25: Instrument and Control Maintenance Techniques: Process Equipment (Measuring, Level,

Flow, Temperature)

•OGTS – M26: Instrument and Control Maintenance Practice: Process Equipment (Measuring, Level, Flow,

Temperature)

•OGTS – M27: Instrument and Control Maintenance Techniques: Process Control Valves

•OGTS – M28: Instrument and Control Maintenance Practice: Process Control Valves

•OGTS – M29: Instrument and Control Maintenance Techniques: Small Bore Tubing

•OGTS – M30: Instrument and Control Maintenance Practice: Small Bore Tubing

•OGTS – M31: Instrument and Control Maintenance Techniques: Metering Devices and Fiscal Metering

•OGTS – M32: Instrument and Control Maintenance Practice: Metering Devices and Fiscal Metering

•OGTS – M33: Instrument and Control Maintenance Techniques: Programmable Logic Controller Systems

•OGTS – M34: Instrument and Control Maintenance Practice: Programmable Logic Controller Systems

•OGTS – M35: Instrument and Control Maintenance Techniques: Distributed Control Systems

•OGTS – M36: Instrument and Control Maintenance Practice: Distributed Control Systems

•OGTS – M37: Instrument and Control Maintenance Techniques: Condition Monitoring Systems

•OGTS – M38: Instrument and Control Maintenance Practice: Condition Monitoring Systems

•OGTS – M39: Instrument and Control Maintenance Techniques: Emergency Shutdown Systems

•OGTS – M43: Instrument and Control Maintenance Techniques: Protection Methods and Instrument

•OGTS – M44: Instrument and Control Maintenance Practice: Protection Methods and Instrument

In addition, the following additional unit may be completed:

•OGTS – M45: Instrument and Control Maintenance Techniques: Subsea Control Systems

There are no specific entry requirements however, it is recommended that learners complete the OPITO Global 1 Training Certificate: Maintenance Practice (Instrument and Control) or equivalent training before undertaking this training certificate.

The training certificate consists of one mandatory group containing two units, all of which must be successfully completed along with a minimum of three optional groups (two units in each group) to achieve the OPITO Global 2 Training Certificate: Maintenance Practices (Instrument and Control).

The learner may also elect to complete an additional optional group in Subsea Control Systems, this group contains only one unit.
