OPITO Global 2 Renewable Energy Training Certificate: Solar Photovoltaic Operations & Maintenance

This Renewable Energy 2 Training Certificate is aimed at learners who are already familiar with the basics of an engineering environment and who have a basic knowledge of photovoltaic solar energy

The Training Certificate consists of the nine mandatory OPITO Global Training Standards at Renewable Energy 2:

• RETS-S10: Solar Photovoltaic Energy Theory
• RETS-S11: Operation of Solar Photovoltaic Energy Systems
• RETS-S12: Solar Photovoltaic Electrical Systems
• RETS-S13: Solar Photovoltaic Mechanical Systems
• RETS-S14: Basic Routine Checks on Photovoltaic Systems
• RETS-S15: Basic Operation and Maintenance of Electrical and Electronic Protection Systems
• RETS-S16: Basic Operation and Maintenance of Inverter Systems
• RETS-S17: Basic Operation and Maintenance of Motor Controls and PLC’s
• RETS-S18: Mechanical and Electrical Isolation Operations

There are no specific entry requirements, however, it is expected that learners will have completed Training Certificates at Foundation and Renewable Energy 1 or equivalent training and/or experience and knowledge

The training certificate consists of nine mandatory units, all of these must be completed to achieve the award.
