Over the past 18 months, we have been reviewing our current processes and practices around OPITO Approval, and what that means for our network of Centres who deliver OPITO Standards.
The results of our review, together with feedback from Centres, has helped us identify improvements, and our new ‘Risk Based Approach’ will be used in full from January 6th, 2022. This will change the way we support our network of Centres and encourages a pro-active and collaborative approach to continuous improvement.
The new Approval Process will ‘go live’ on January 6th, 2022, however, areas of the new process will be effective from October 2021, and we ask new and existing Centres to please refer to the below scenarios before going through an OPITO Approval. The current Approval Process will still be used, as part of the below scenarios, until January 2022.
We have created the 'Forthcoming changes for Centres - Standards' document which provides an overview of all the changes and how they will affect Centres.
New Centres (no OPITO Approvals)
Existing Centres (currently holding an OPITO Approval)
