The ERRV Crew Daughter Craft Coxswain Training course is designed to meet the initial training requirements for the role of an ERRV Daughter Craft Coxswain.
The ERRV Crew Daughter Craft Coxswain training is designed for personnel that intend to work in the role of Daughter Craft Coxswain aboard an Emergency Response and Rescue Vessel (ERRV) and are already existing FRC Coxswains.
Nomination from the Master of the ERRV as an appropriate person to undertake the course and the role of a Daughter Craft Coxswain and a valid OPITO ERRV FRC Coxswains certificate and 3 months sea time as a FRC Coxswain and successfully completed a mandatory pre course learning pack.
Continuous training and assessment required through Ongoing Onboard Development and Training Programme for ERRV Masters and Crew Standard (OODTP). A formal assessment is made through the OODTP programme at least every 3 years.
