The aim of the Control Room Operator Emergency Response assessment programme is to assess learner’s performance in controlling emergencies and critical situations, in the position of a CRO.
The competence statements contained in this standard provide a clear description of performance in the workplace:
What practitioners are expected to do
The underpinning knowledge and skills they would require to enable them to do what was expected
How they could demonstrate what was expected of them
How their performance would be assessed
The Control Room Operator Emergency Response assessment programme is designed for personnel who are about to be appointed to a CRO position or who are already serving as a CRO.
A formal declaration from the learner’s employer confirming that the learner has achieved the performance criteria in Unit 1, Element 1.1 in the workplace, and that the learner has been deemed ready for formal assessment against Elements 1. 2 to 1.3.
